Not necessarily, tableau has got better visualization than that of R. In Tableau, you just have to drag and drop the components which is pretty easy unlike R where you have to write code to get the visual. Tableau can be used easily by one who doesn't have coding background.

Hi Dev, R is a tool used by Data Scientists/Statisticians for data analysis, statistical modeling whereas Tableau is aimed at Data Visulaization primarily. Though Tableau has got lot of analytical enhancements it cannot come closer to R. Similarly, though R has got lot of visualization/plotting abilities using packages like ggplot, R Shiny etc., it cannot come closer to Tableau in visualization. So if you need to visualize ur data, then just hop on and learn Tableau. I use both these tools almost everyday in my life. I visualize my data in Tableau and I build models in R. R can be used for making model diagnostic plots like residual vs regressor plot, QQ plots etc., which are very specific to model building. Choose your tool based on the need. hope this helps.
