We all know the percentage but don't know how to use it. Don't solve math problems using bookish Math formulas. Learn the technique to think in a new dimension. If we convert percentage in fraction we can easily solve any question.

Suppose the price of sugar is increased by 25% then how much percent a housewife reduce the consumption so that the total expenditure remains same?

We know 25%= 1/4 and in the case of price and quantity both are opposite relations so,

Price 4 5

Quantity 5 4

Now we are observing that quantity decreases by 1 at the base value 5 so 1/5 is what 20% and the answer is 20% because1/5*100=20%.
