Experience in School or College
I hold a BSc in Physical Science from the University of Kelaniya, with an academic background in Mathematics and Physics. I have experience tutoring Sri Lankan school students in Mathematics, helping them understand concepts, develop problem-solving skills, and improve their academic performance. My teaching approach focuses on explaining concepts in a simple and structured manner, providing step-by-step guidance, and encouraging students to practise independently. I adapt my teaching methods to suit each student’s learning level and pace, helping them build a strong foundation in Mathematics. I aim to create an interactive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, identifying their mistakes, and developing confidence in their abilities. I also provide practice questions and revision support to help students prepare effectively for examinations. In addition, I am willing to adapt my teaching methods and lesson plans to different curricula, including international syllabuses, based on each student’s academic requirements and learning objectives. I am committed to continuously improving my teaching skills to provide effective and personalized learning support.
