Kim Lakska

I am a student currently studying for Llbs in Sri Lanka in a reputable college that is also a defense militarized institution. I completed my early education in Kuwait (Grades 1–6) before relocating to Sri Lanka, where I continued my studies and successfully passed the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examinations with six credits. I recently sat for my Advanced Level examinations as a private candidate, scoring 3 distinctions.

Over the years, I’ve developed strong communication and leadership skills through various academic and extracurricular roles. I served as an academic prefect at Jabriya Indian School in Kuwait and later became an active member of the student council at the American College in Sri Lanka. These roles allowed me to mentor peers, organize educational events, and support fellow students in their academic journeys.

My teaching experience includes peer tutoring in subjects such as English, History, and General Knowledge, especially for students preparing for O/L and A/L exams. I have also worked closely with younger students, helping them strengthen their reading and writing skills through structured and engaging lessons. Additionally, I have also tutored English classes for students around my area for 2 years. I believe in creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel confident, encouraged, and motivated to do their best.

Having faced challenges such as adapting to different education systems and overcoming language barriers, I bring empathy, patience, and adaptability to my teaching approach. I am passionate about helping students overcome their difficulties and achieve their academic goals with clarity and confidence.
