The most effective way of building upon your vocabulary and effectively, improving your language skills is by doing one activity ie. "READ" Yes, I say "READ". This is the most effective way to ensure your vocabulary increases, without mugging up words or meanings. Along with this, kindly have a good Oxford English Dictionary or a Merriam Webster at hand. Whenever you come across a new word, underline it and reference check it with the dictionary immediately. This will help you understand the meaning of the word and will also give you the context in which a particular word can be used. This will help you build a strong vocabulary. read less
