How come Mexico speaks Spanish when Spain is in Europe?

Well, Mexican Spanish is little bit different than Spain Spanish.. 1. Accent is totally different. 2. There are some verbs and words which spanish people don't use.. like :- Mexico - Manejar spain - Conducir, I am working in Spain but they don't mind if you talk like Latin people ... Thank You!...
