As per your enquiry, I would like to suggest you that MS Excel is the primary and most exciting tool to learn. Most of the advanced analysis softwares are based on this tool, and you can calculate the same data from it if you have the depth of knowledge about this tool. To understand the primary tool, you can learn it within a month.
If you want to learn it in a depth manner, it requires regular practice of all mathematical relations, commands and shortcut keys.
