Need career switch from manual/QTP to a testing domain which is in demand and has less skilled resources..Please advise

Hi Bhavya, First of all I like mention few points : 1.Open source technologies are preferable over paid and licensed technologies or software,as there is always crunch of good resource in open source technologies in the market as it needs some expert concepts and techniques by going in to source code for those technologies and very few people having the concepts/approach to do the same (because open source tools has less guidance compared to paid). 2.All Companies are moving towards open source and free tool to reduce the budget of the project. So its advisable to learn Open source technologies as Selenium (Already a big hit in the market and lack of good resources for the companies,So chances are very high to grab a good CTC ),GEB etc etc. Thanks Debarghya Roy read less

You have the knowledge of .NET language is what I can assume as you said you have worked on QTP. If you want to go for selenium web driver then start with C# along with Microsoft visual studio.
