As the product based companies are moving to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) , testers are given the maximum importance to drive the development. Testers now should be the representative of the users and they are expected to have the domain expertise to minimize the gap between business the business and technology people. As BDD fits best into agile model, no time is given for testing after the development is over . The testers are expected to be ready with the automatable code of the behavior they have defined for the development code to comply with. So its very promising for now to move on to automation testing with BDD model. read less

It has also been observed that most of the organizations are allocating more than 40 percent of their IT budget towards quality assurance and software testing because they can't affford any bugs in the production which will drag their market brand imgae or productivity. Now a days, developer : tester ratio is almost 2:1 which was earlier 5: 1 ....what does it means ? it means more and more testers are included along with developers to increase and maximize testing in short time. read less
