According to fundamental rights, there is no discrimination of caste, race, color in any public sector or any part of India both state and central. But in 1956s our national leaders realized that in India there are so many communities which are so backward in nature by all kinds of a facility. So they decided to give an unconstitutional provision which gives SC and ST quota and gives facility. It had been described that in the 1980s, all provisions would be withdrawn but it didn't happen. It increased for 10 years, then again more by 10 years and still now it is in the system. Next 2021 is the time for withdrawing period but later on, it quota again got added. In 2021, it could not be withdrawn due to vote bank policy. Now total seat reservation is 49.5 percent. Supreme court has given the verdict that this quota could be not more than 50 percent. read less
