How many days will it take to learn Hindi?

Hi Preethi : Assuming that you have no exposure to Hindi , my suggestion would be 2 -fold . Do you have any Hindi speaking people around you alongwith your mother tongue and/or english ? Trying to converse in Hindi would be a good way just to get the "shruthi" of words i.e. sounds of words or sentences... ...more
Hi Preethi : Assuming that you have no exposure to Hindi , my suggestion would be 2 -fold . Do you have any Hindi speaking people around you alongwith your mother tongue and/or english ? Trying to converse in Hindi would be a good way just to get the "shruthi" of words i.e. sounds of words or sentences being spoken in Hindi. One good way would be to watch any hindi movie with subtitles . Once the goal of learning Hindi is clarified, depending upon the proficiency level you are looking at , it is easy to learn hindi esp. if your mother tongue has some sanskrit words in it. Time willl vary from a bare minimum in 4 weeks to a fulltime 1 year course (again a very. very avg. no.s )

What are the demerits of online Hindi learning?

Not demerits but few difficulties are that many text books are not available in Hindi ... Also, typing in Hindi is completely difficult skill using a software than writing hindi .Vocabulary building takes a huge hit and writing essays or articles in hindi is difficult . We do not have a dedicated keyboard... ...more
