Sunil Kumar

I am a dedicated researcher with a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal & Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru University. My doctoral work centered on the molecular analysis and characterization of Methyl Jasmonate Inducible PSPG Motif-Containing Glycosyltransferase from Bacopa monnieri. Currently, I am advancing my postdoctoral research as a Senior Project Associate (RA1) at CSIR-CIMAP, building upon my previous role there as a Project Associate II
My research expertise lies deeply in plant molecular biology, genomics, and microbiology. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have honed specific technical methodologies, such as the generation of stable transgenic lines using floral dip transformation constructs. Additionally, I am highly proficient in complex scientific data visualization and analysis, regularly utilizing software platforms like GraphPad Prism, MultiExperiment Viewer (MeV) for heatmap generation, and Carl Zeiss ZEN for imaging. Beyond the laboratory, I have cultivated strong communication and mentoring skills through practical teaching experience, having instructed both undergraduate and postgraduate students in genetics, molecular biology, and plant biotechnology
