I have 17+ years of teaching experience with primary students. The age group varies from 5yrs to 11yrs. I take classes through various teaching techniques. I use props and flashcards, videos, and pictures to make my classes more interesting and child-friendly. I have been on an exchange program to Sweden for 21 days where I interacted with children across all age groups. It was a fulfilling and enriching experience.
For very young learners aged 5 yrs, I do take Jolly phonics and phonograms (single letter and Multi-letter). The logic of blending of sounds, diagraphs, diphthongs, tricky R, silent e and, much more. I do take care of Grammar concepts, speaking and writing skills. I do provide worksheets for recapitulation and reinforcement of the topic taught.
Listening skills are also taken care of through videos and audios. Reading skill is an integral part of the English language and when it comes to comprehension I do a lot of reading comprehension looking at the child's level and adaptability. I take little time to figure out what the child already knows and then how to take him/her to the next level.
My teaching style includes hands-on, experiential learning through games and activities.
I am passionate about teaching and like to generate curiosity and let the child discover and explore the concept by himself/herself. My classes are engaging and helps the children wanting to learn more.
