Even behavior-driven development has lots of flexibility and advantages. Why has it not been used predominantly as a test automation technique?

Hariprasad - BDD is not an automation tool, it is a collaborative process and focuses more on behavior of the application and is majorly adopted where the Business team wants to run the automation scripts which happens very rare, I have worked with multiple organizations and clients, Client's BA team / Product owner remain busy with their stuff and do not want to spend their time in learning a new tool to test the application so even if automation team writes the automation scripts in BDD, most of the times, they are the people who actually run the scripts, which I think is the reason BDD is used less read less
