What is difference between SAP ECC, HANA and S4 HANA?

What is the difference between SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC? S/4HANA runs only on HANA. ECC runs on various databases including DB2, Oracle, SQL, and so on. SAP S/4HANA has a simplified model that makes use of a universal journal.
