The main differences between microprocessor and microcontroller are
1microprocessor consists of only a CPU whereas microcontroller contains a CPU, memory, Input and output devices in a single chip
2-microprocessor is used where the task is not predefined while the microcontroller is used where the task is already defined like washing machine, microwave oven etc
3-power consumptions of the microprocessor are higher compared to the microcontroller.
