Yuvika Hooda

I am an undergraduate Psychology student with academic and practical experience in psychology, research methodology, counselling skills, and basic statistical analysis. I have developed a strong interest in helping students understand psychology and research concepts in a clear, practical, and approachable way.

As part of my academic research experience, I have conducted research examining the relationship between mental health literacy and attitudes toward seeking professional psychological help. This involved developing and distributing a questionnaire through Google Forms, collecting participant responses, organizing and cleaning data, and using SPSS for descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, and correlation analysis. I have also gained experience understanding and interpreting statistical outputs and presenting research findings in an academic format.

I have completed a Counselling Psychology internship with The Wise Therapist, where I gained exposure to practical counselling concepts and evidence-based approaches. My internship work included CBT-based activities such as the ABC Model, thought records, behavioural experiments, CBT worksheets, relapse-prevention exercises, and therapeutic communication/listening exercises. I also worked on psychology-related presentations and case-based learning.

Alongside my academic work, I have experience with research methodology, questionnaire design, psychological concepts, academic writing, presentations, and basic data analysis. I am particularly interested in helping undergraduate and beginner-level students understand research methods and psychology through examples rather than memorization.

I aim to provide patient, personalized online tutoring and adapt my teaching style according to each student’s level and learning needs.
