Rajan Sir taught me during my BSc Mathematics course. He always encouraged us to explore beyond the prescribed university textbooks rather than limiting our learning to the syllabus. In particular, while teaching Set Theory, he motivated us to solve problems from Schaum’s Outline of Set Theory and Related Topics, which helped us develop a deeper understanding of the subject. It was also during this period that Python programming was introduced into our syllabus. Despite having studied Biology in Class 12, I was able to understand and appreciate the essence and potential of Python programming through Rajan Sir’s classes. He has always explained concepts with great clarity and precision, making even challenging topics approachable and interesting.
