Karthik S

Karthik S is a researcher in Mechanical Engineering currently pursuing his Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology Palakkad, Kerala, India, with research interests in vibration analysis, composite materials, structural health monitoring, and computational mechanics. He completed his M.E. in Engineering Design from Anna University in 2017 and B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Anna University in 2014. He has more than eight years of combined academic and industrial experience, having worked as a Project Associate-I at the National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli and previously as an Assistant Professor, contributing to teaching, research, and academic activities. His research work includes journal publications, book chapters with Springer, conference presentations, and a patent published in 2023 titled “Design and Implementation of an Autonomous Vacuum Cleaner Robotic Mechanism.” He has also received the Best Faculty Award (2021–2022) for his academic contributions and is a **lifetime member of SAE India. His current doctoral research focuses on vibration-based damage detection and structural health monitoring of composite structures using advanced signal processing techniques.
