I teach Bharatanatyam and have been learning and practicing this classical dance form for almost 12 years. I have around 1 year of teaching experience, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and helping students develop their skills and interest in Bharatanatyam. My own journey of consistent learning and practice has given me a strong appreciation for the discipline and dedication required to learn this art form.

I have completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.). Along with my academic qualification, I have received formal training in Bharatanatyam and have continuously practised the art form for nearly 12 years. Although I do not currently hold a separate certification or diploma specifically in dance, my years of dedicated training and practice have helped me develop a strong understanding of Bharatanatyam.

My experience in Bharatanatyam has been very rewarding. Over the years, I have developed an understanding of the techniques, movements, and discipline involved in the art form. Teaching has given me an opportunity to share this experience with students and help them improve their skills while developing a genuine interest in classical dance.

I follow a structured and practical teaching approach. I believe that Bharatanatyam is best learned gradually, with students first becoming comfortable with the basic movements and techniques before progressing to more advanced learning. I therefore break down each movement and explain it step by step so that students can understand and practise it correctly.

My classes are interactive and practice-oriented. I use demonstrations to help students understand movements and techniques clearly, and I give them regular opportunities to practise what they have learned. I pay attention to their progress and provide guidance wherever they need additional support or correction.

I believe that regular practice and patience are essential for learning Bharatanatyam. Students may take different amounts of time to become comfortable with particular movements, so I encourage them to focus on consistency rather than rushing through the learning process. I aim to make classes comfortable and encouraging while maintaining the discipline required for classical dance training.

I conduct both online and offline Bharatanatyam classes and work with students according to their learning level and requirements. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation in Bharatanatyam, improve their technique through regular practice, and develop greater confidence in their performance. I also want to help students appreciate the beauty, discipline, and tradition of this classical Indian dance form.
