Rajni Sharma

I am a Chemistry and Science educator with over 17 years of teaching experience. I teach Science to students from Classes 7 to 10 and Chemistry to students in Classes 11 and 12. My teaching is focused on helping students develop strong conceptual understanding, improve their analytical abilities, and approach their subjects with greater confidence. I believe that a strong foundation is essential for students to perform well academically and prepare themselves for higher studies.

I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry and have also completed a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at IIT Kanpur. My academic background has given me extensive subject expertise and a deep understanding of Chemistry and scientific concepts. My experience in academic research, combined with many years of teaching, enables me to explain complex topics in a structured and accessible manner.

Along with teaching, I have extensive experience in academic research, mentoring, and student guidance. I have guided Ph.D. students and mentored 15 M.Phil. students during my academic career. I have also published around 50 research papers in international journals. This research experience has strengthened my analytical and problem-solving skills, which I bring into my teaching to help students understand concepts beyond textbook definitions.

My teaching methodology is structured, student-centred, and concept-driven. I focus on explaining the reasoning behind a concept rather than encouraging students to rely only on memorisation. I break complex topics into smaller, manageable sections and use practical examples, problem-solving exercises, and interactive discussions to make lessons easier to understand. I also encourage students to ask questions and participate actively during the sessions.

I conduct my classes online and use PPT presentations and a digital whiteboard to make lessons organised, visual, and interactive. Each class follows a well-planned lesson structure with clear learning objectives. I include regular practice, questions, revision, and assessments to evaluate the student's progress and identify areas that require additional attention.

With my background in teaching, research, and mentoring, I understand that students can have different learning needs and levels of understanding. I therefore adapt my explanations and pace according to the individual student. Whether a student needs help strengthening fundamental concepts, solving challenging problems, preparing for examinations, or developing deeper subject knowledge, I provide guidance based on their specific requirements.

My goal is to help students become confident and independent learners who can understand and apply scientific concepts effectively. I strive to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring concepts, and improving through regular practice. Through my subject expertise, research experience, and student-focused teaching approach, I aim to help students achieve stronger academic performance and develop a lasting interest in Science and Chemistry.
