My name is Dr. Maria. I completed my PhD in 2023 and earned my Master’s degree in English Literature in 2009. I have been in the teaching profession for the past 12 years. At this stage in my journey, I seek a more peaceful and fulfilling approach to teaching and learning—one that allows me to continue sharing my passion without the rush or pressure of conventional systems.

I believe literature is not merely a sequence of words on a page; it carries deep, real-life implications. Through literature, we explore the human experience—its emotions, struggles, hopes, and truths. I wish to channel my positive energy into my students by helping them connect with literature in meaningful and transformative ways.

It is important for students to understand that they are not simply learning English—they are engaging with English Literature. This is fundamentally different from learning spoken English or language skills alone. Literature invites introspection, empathy, and growth, and I aim to nurture these values in my classroom.
