print() is a function in pyhon3.x , a statement print in python2.x whereras more libraries are still in 2.x latest in 3.x

There are many difference between python 2 and python 3. Print statement needs parenthesis in python 3, which was not mandatory for python 2. There is not raw_input function available in python 3
