You need a copy of the Python compiler/interpreter, plus all of the Python modules you are importing. Python is a source code language, not a binary language. For C or C++ you can (generally must) create obj files and then link them into an executable. The C/C++ executable is a binary executable file with no source (by default). By contrast, the Python compiler/interpreter directly executes Python source code. Of course, the actual process is more complicated under the covers. However, from a user perspective, the Python compiler/interpreter does actually run the source. read less
