More than 80% of websites around the around use PHP to code the back-end.So, Python vs PHP, then if you are interested in Web Development then you can learn PHP and also you may need to learn front-end languages like CSS & Javascript. While Python has various other applications including web development (but not popular as PHP), Machine Learning, Data Analysis and Artificial Intelligence.If you are interested in Web Development learn PHP and for other programming applications Python works best. read less
