It depends on use case. Python is really good scripting language and with packages like Pandas, Numpy, PySpark and Scikit learn it is really powerful. However it has its own limitations like every other language. For instance , statistical packages on offer in python are still not adequate.

"Best" is a relative term. A better question could be to find out the "pros" and "cons" of Python. Python is most widely used as an excellent programming language to create quick prototypes for Rapid Application Development in various domains.
