Yes.. currently python is mostly used for developing the apps for mobile phones.

Yes, mobile apps can be developed using python, there are many modules that can be used to develop mobile apps, one of the most popular one is kivy, using that module you can create one app and compile it for different platforms like linux, windows, android, ios, etc
