Welcome to Kalinga Kala Kendra, an institute of Music, Dance, and Performing Arts established in 2011 in Pune and now operating from Baner under the guidance of Dr. Mamata Mishra.
Dr. Mamata Mishra is a Sangeet Visharad from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh, with training influenced by the Kirana, Punjab, and Banaras traditions of Hindustani Classical Music. She has dedicated over 15 years to teaching students of all ages and backgrounds.
Her teaching philosophy is simple:
"If you can speak, you can sing."
As a postgraduate in Science and an accomplished music educator, Dr. Mishra has developed a unique MusicoScience approach that integrates the science of voice production, ear training, breath control, sound vibration awareness, music therapy-inspired techniques, and traditional Indian music pedagogy.
This holistic methodology helps students improve pitch accuracy, vocal confidence, concentration, emotional expression, and overall well-being. Through carefully designed vocal exercises, breathing practices, listening techniques, and the therapeutic use of swaras (musical notes), students learn to connect with music in a natural and enjoyable manner.
