In today's world 'how' you speak is more important than 'what' you speak.
To an employer, good English communication skills are essential. In fact, employers consistently rank good communication skills at the top of the list for potential employees.
My course contains not only grammar but lots of speaking activities, simulations, tips on etiquette and body language while communicating. I teach situational vocabulary like vocabulary while traveling, health and health care, office presentations, telephonic conversations and etc. I teach phonetics to help students get rid of their Mother Tongue Influence(MTI).
As adults our environment and experience are different.. As adult learners we cannot apply the same techniques to learn a language as we use while we are in school.
The greatest take-aways for my students are their confidence and fluency.
