You're not likely to get a job based only on C. Although it is still a powerful language, it only serves as a basis for understanding other higher level languages like C++, Java and C# in today's date.

Try exploring some advanced c languages like SYSTEM C which is used mostly in image processing

Yes, you can get very good job. But you should be strong with pointers and data structures. You would be working at very core level. At lower level almost every one would be using C. If you take Oracle...RDBMS is implemented in C, facebook ...based bon graph algotrithms...microsoft,google etc
