We can use "integration by parts" method here.The formula is: ∫u v dx = u∫v dx −∫u' (∫v dx) dx +C
Here let us take, u=log(x) and v=1;
then ∫log(x)dx = log(x) * ∫1 dx -∫(log(x)' * (∫1.dx)) dx +C
= xlog(x) -∫(1/x * x )dx +C
= xlog(x) -∫(1)dx
= xlog(x) -x +C
