Firstly think and list out the reasons what made you fall in love with the instrument. If that doesnt motivate you to get back then analyse and list out what made you feel disconnected with the instrument. Eg was the goal set by you realistic compared to the amount of efforts put in?were you practicing enough to achieve your goals? Was the approach to practice systematic? Were you trying to take a bit more that you can chew?What were the distractions? these are some questions that will help one understand what could have gone wrong. Upon analysing these questions you will have quite a bit of clarity regarding the obstacles then address each one of them and you should be back in sync with yourself and the instrument. read less
