Coming to security, Java is very powerful to develop web applications. But, you must have good programming skills for learning or implementing Java. PHP is the simplest programming language to develop web applications and requires basic programming knowledge.

Java and python are more powerful but the learning curve is long and smaller/mid size companies dont use them in India.
