What is the use of header() function in PHP?

header () function is used to give the path of page that you want to run. e.g. header ("location:index.php"); This code will open the page from your current page to that specified page "index.php". Have a nice day!

Http is an application level protocol so it exchange the conversation between client and server via http headers so if you want to add any header to your response you can use this function to instruct client to redirect 302 , location or many more things .
