While teaching IT Student (MCA / BCA / BTech), I found most of the students are not having good programming skills but they are still running behind to learn .NET / PHP / PYTHON / ANDROID / JAVA. Why is it so? What we should do better to improve a sound programming skills among most of IT Students?

on college days they r learning c,c++ and following faculties are also giving a road map of "programming means" thease languages only , even these are the languages are familier , where you justify them those languages are basic and let u start any language u choose for its challenges ..

Now a days every answer is available in internet. So they are directly going to step 3. which is not a good procedure. First we should proceed with step 1 and step 2. All student concentrate on syntax I know .net I know phython .. but no one take efforts to build logic If student able to write sudo code they can write program in any Langlang .. so need to take more efforts on logic/algorithm ....

It Professional Trainer With 20 Years of Experience in in Key Aspects of Software Development

Main reason is most of student learn these languages with point of only getting good marks in the in the exam. So as trainer we should first tell them not learn these languages only from the point of view of the exams and provide them with insight as to how these languages are used in real world.

Before going to any programming language the students must lean designing Algorithm and practice tracing the Algorithm by using some Programming Practice Techniques like Flow Chart for designing algorithms and Dry Run for tracing algorithm
