Well, first of all I have to tell you that this is the exact same question I posted sometime back, and, surprisingly, in the exact same language. I personally believe that short courses especially the ones having a 'Do this. Don't do that' approach actually don't work. They just seem fancy and alluring to candidates. The ones that work are those which involve the candidates to recognize their individual strong points and minimize their weak points. This requires a longer duration engagement and lots of faith and patience. Once the principles are understood by the candidates, they are set on a journey of lifelong improvement. This brings about true empowerment when the person continues to work upon themselves throughout their lives. If the mental processes and functioning of the mind are understood well this can be attained by the coaches and trainers, otherwise, they just keep using a 'Do this. Don't do that' approach. read less

Personality Development is a holistic learning process and should account for overall development. I have attended such programs and have benefited a lot. Because of those benefits, I have started my own venture and today I am networking very closely with top Engineering institutions, B-Schools and Corporates in South India. But mere attending training will not help in anyway. It has to be supplemented with lot of practicals and implementations in our day-to-day life. Otherwise, "knowledge without implementation is waste of money, time and resource". Look for at least small implementations and keep baby steps. The journey is amazing !!!
