I focus on building spoken English from the ground up, starting with the four basic tenses that are essential for forming sentences. My aim is to make students start speaking from day one itself, no matter what their current level is. Recently, I taught a 45-year-old woman who had always been afraid of speaking in English. She believed people would think she was stupid because she didn’t know the language. But after just 3 months of classes, she now speaks comfortably and understands English fully. Her fear is completely gone, and she now speaks with confidence—even while handling her clothing business, which has improved as a result. I also taught a Class 12 girl from a government school who was very underconfident and performed poorly in exams only because of her weak English. Now she is able to write answers confidently and express herself clearly. For me, teaching English is not just about grammar and vocabulary. It’s about helping people find their voice, gain confidence, and feel proud of themselves. English not only improves careers—it uplifts self-esteem too.
