Ionisation Potential: Energy needed to remove an electron from an atom or we can say that how difficult it is to remove an electron from an atom. Eg: Like taking a toy or some favourite things from a child- lots of energy is needed.
Electron Affinity: Energy needed when an electron is added to an atom or how much an atom needs electron to complete its octate. Eg: Like when we provide somthing (Chocolates) or things that child like- energy is released because the child happily accepts it.
