I am currently teaching at DonBosco Academy Patna, which is affiliated with the ICSE. It has been 6 years, and in these years, my students have achieved promising results in Economics. ISC 12th is a standard syllabus to teach. It has been a wonderful experience. The updation of question papers in ISC and CBSE, which includes analytical questions and competition based questions, is making this more challenging at the 12th level. I can experiment and teach them with live industrial examples to to make for better understanding of economic applications, we take students on a trip to RBI and various factories. This gives them better clarity and understanding of the requirement of various concepts of economics.

Teaching standard 12th is interesting and challenging as we have to cover the syllabus plus make students ready for university exams. Teaching economics with real life examples and tricks makes it interesting and easy to score. Focusing on board pattern, there are a few important chapters like National Income and theory of aggregate demand in macroeconomics which is very important. Connecting current affairs with macroeconomics concepts to provide them information as well as train them to analyse and answer is one trick I use. Overall I believe 12th is one of the major turning points in the academic life of a student and if not understood or taught properly may disrupt upcoming opportunities in front of a student.
