Let the present age of P and Q be 5x and 7x respectively.
After 6 years their age will be (5x+6) and (7x+6) respectively.
Now, according to question,
(7x+6)-(5x+6)=2
7x+6-5x-6=2
7x-5x=2
2x=2
x=1
As we assumed presentation age of P and Q be 5x and 7x respectively.
Therefore now,
Present Age of P= 5×1= 5 years
And
Present age of Q= 7×1= 7 years.
