Alka S.

I am Alka Sharma, a tutor who teaches students from Classes 1 to 5 across all subjects. Along with my teaching experience, I bring over 13 years of professional experience working with multinational companies, as well as experience as an IT Auditor. My corporate career has helped me develop strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, which I now bring into my teaching to make lessons structured, practical, and easy for young learners to understand.

I completed my Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) from CSJM University in 2013 and my Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from NMIMS in 2019. My academic background in Commerce and Business Administration, combined with my professional experience, has given me a broad understanding of business, analytical thinking, communication, and organizational skills. I also use the patience and mentoring abilities developed throughout my career while working with young students.

Teaching has been a rewarding experience for me, particularly because I enjoy working with children and helping them build their academic foundations. Students at the primary level are developing their understanding of different subjects and learning how to approach new concepts, so I focus on creating a comfortable environment where they can learn without hesitation. I encourage students to ask questions and take an active role in understanding what they are being taught.

I teach students from Classes 1 to 5 across all subjects and adapt my approach according to the student's age, learning pace, and level of understanding. I believe that concepts should be explained in a simple and clear manner rather than relying only on memorization. I use examples and step-by-step explanations wherever required so that students can understand the reasoning behind a topic and gradually become more confident in applying what they have learned.

I follow a structured teaching methodology and prepare a lesson plan before each class. This helps me organize the topics, establish clear learning objectives, and ensure that important concepts are covered systematically. At the same time, I keep my sessions interactive by encouraging students to participate in discussions, answer questions, share their understanding, and clarify their doubts during the class.

My professional experience has also influenced the way I approach teaching. Working with multinational companies and as an IT Auditor has strengthened my ability to analyse information, identify problems, communicate clearly, and approach tasks in a systematic way. I try to bring these qualities into my classes by helping students develop logical thinking, problem-solving skills, discipline, and confidence alongside their academic knowledge.

I offer both online and offline classes and provide personalized guidance based on each student's requirements. I use a whiteboard during my sessions to explain concepts, solve questions, and highlight important points in a clear and organized manner. My aim is to help students build strong fundamentals, understand their subjects thoroughly, develop confidence in their abilities, and gradually become more independent in their learning through consistent and supportive guidance.
