The Academy has been set up with the specific aim of giving intensive coaching to the young men and women who aspire for top posts in the countrys civil services and other Competitive Exams.
The relevance of Tamil Nadu State Civil Service & other Competitive Exams coaching JR Institute
TN had a strong representation in the countrys civil services till the 1990's, but then it began to show a steady decline. Various factors were responsible for this depressing situation. Lack of proper orientation to the civil services examination and inadequate guidance were perhaps the most important of these. When we took stock of the available coaching facilities in our state, it was noticed that there was a wide gap between what was expected and what was delivered. TN State Civil Service was established to bridge this gulf. Duration of the Course Admissions to the Regular Prelims coaching classes are given twice a year as Batches as per the Institution Standards.
Faculty:
The Academy has an impressive array of faculty members who have many years of experience in handling all the Competitive coaching classes. They comprise college and university professors, retired as well as those in service, and experts and professionals in various branches of learning. Interaction with Civil Service Officers, The candidates get ample opportunities to interact with top cadre civil service officers, whom the academy regularly invites. Communication with these officers goes a long way in boosting the morale of the civil service aspirants.
Programme Schedule
Admissions are open for the Competitive Exams training to graduates and post-graduates in any discipline approved by the UGC and all other academic standards as per the eligibility measures for the call-for of notification. There will be a theory Classes, written test and an interview to assess the aptitude/standard of the applicant. The Academy offers main-oriented coaching programme. However, the focus in the initial stages will be on the General Studies of the Prelims. Batch for Optional Subjects Classes for the Optional subjects (which come under the Main Exam syllabus) is also given as separate batches both in June and November. Classes for most of the favorite items are offered at the Academy, provided there is enough number of students for a particular subject. Once the Preliminary Examination is over, classes for the Main Examination begin for UPSC syllabus.
Test Papers:
Test papers are conducted twice a week right from the first month and once a week from the second month onwards and attendance is compulsory. Once the syllabus is finished, there will be a series of model test papers.
Feedback:
Just as the students are assessed through test papers, debates and discussions, the Academy evaluates the teachers too through feedback collected from the students. This helps the teachers to modify if needed, their style of teaching.
Apart from Studies, we are providing personal care for the student's involvement in various skills and clarification which they are in need. For, eg, we are giving personal traits forever their enhancement task as a value-added the advantage in our Institution.
Fees:
Tuition fee for various Public Services courses is fixed from time to time.
