Will acrylic paint stick to plastic? If not, why?

You can use acrylic paint on plastic. Start by preping it with some spray primer. Ideally two coats. Work in a well ventilated room. Paint in thin layer. Might need 2-3 layers to build the colour. Once dry varnish with a spray varnish.

No if we use acrylic colors directly on it. Yes, if we prep the plastic surface before using acrylic colors. If you are planning to color plastic surface which will be outdoors than suggest you to select spray primers and if it's an indoor plastic surface using stain blocking primer with high adhesion...

No if we use acrylic colors directly on it. Yes, if we prep the plastic surface before using acrylic colors. If you are planning to color plastic surface which will be outdoors than suggest you to select spray primers and if it's an indoor plastic surface using stain blocking primer with high adhesion will be better. Check with local hardware stores for these supplies. read less
