You can use MEDIUM. It is used to dilute fabric colour instead of water. You would easily get this from market.

Will acrylic paint stick to plastic? If not, why?
You can use acrylic paint on plastic. Start by preping it with some spray primer. Ideally two coats. Work in a well ventilated room. Paint in thin layer. Might need 2-3 layers to build the colour. Once dry varnish with a spray varnish.
