Well, if you develop a distinct style and market your work well enough, there's no reason to be concerned about the advent of the digital age. Those who are lovers of art and value tangible artwork will always buy artwork insofar as they appreciate it. Those who look for cheaper alternatives buy prints and easily available bulk art that you see online on e-commerce sites. Digital art may encapsulate stylization, colour, and movement, but cannot truly replicate the effect of handwork. There will always be something personal about a hand-made work of art, a closer link to the artist and his or her story. That said, not every artist can carve a niche for themselves. So, it's really about one's skill, experience, and distinct style that can make or break a career in art. Furthermore, it may be quite useful to enhance one's portfolio and skillset by learning how to create digital art. It may also prove to be helpful in planning a painting before you begin the work. read less
