Ones she starts attending the regular classes she herself will come to know various Art forms & the mediums which they do teach in the Art school. Her interest will allow her pick up the medium she prefers the most. Ones you come to know this (her interest in particular medium or kind of Art she prefers) contact an experienced Art professional & then train her up accordingly. At this age until next 5years it will be a real hurry to decide what she would love or what will best suit her!! read less

Art Teacher

I think its depends on her ability and interest. Oil painting is a good medium to express her art and its easy to handle and gives chances to experiment.

She should learn a range of paintings. Start from the easy ones may be those available in a kit nib painting, glass painting, knife painting etc. Then others are fabric painting, oil painting, water colours potraits etc. She can try and see on her own as at a young stage it is very easy to learn
