Who is this class for?
This course is designed for freshers, career switchers, and working professionals who want a structured, week-long introduction to Linux. It's ideal if you're serious about a DevOps/Cloud career and need the command-line confidence that underpins both fields.
What will students learn in this class?
Over 1 week, you'll build a strong Linux foundation through a structured, day-wise approach:
- Day 1: Introduction to Linux, OS basics, and terminal fundamentals
- Day 2: File system structure and navigation commands (ls, cd, pwd, etc.)
- Day 3: File permissions and ownership management (chmod, chown)
- Day 4: Process management and system monitoring (ps, top, kill)
- Day 5: Package management and basic networking commands
- Day 6: Shell scripting basics — variables, loops, and simple automation
- Day 7: Recap, Q&A, hands-on mini exercise, and career guidance
Each session is practical and demo-driven, focused on real commands used daily in DevOps and Cloud roles.
Is there anything students need to bring to the class?
A laptop with a stable internet connection is required. A Linux VM or WSL setup is recommended — I'll guide you through this on Day 1.
