If you’ve always felt drawn to Kathak, this is a good place to begin.
This 8-week Kathak for Beginners Course offers a steady and immersive introduction to the form, with three classes a week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). The structure allows the body to gradually build familiarity with rhythm, movement, and presence.
Over the course, students will work with foundational tatkaar (footwork), explore basic chakkars (spins), and develop an understanding of taal and musicality. There is also an introduction to abhinaya, where movement begins to carry expression and narrative. The learning culminates in a short, cohesive piece.
The focus is on building clarity in basics while allowing space for ease and confidence to develop over time.
Classes are conducted in a small, attentive setting, supporting both individual guidance and shared learning.
