Session Type: One-to-one interview preparation and mock interview session focused on helping students and professionals improve their interview performance through practical exercises, personalised feedback, and actionable suggestions.
Availability: Sessions will generally be scheduled during the evening. The exact timing should be mutually agreed upon with the student based on availability. The counselling team should confirm the preferred time slot in advance and communicate any scheduling requirements clearly.
Number of Sessions: This is primarily intended as a one-off session rather than a regular, long-term course. Depending on the student's preparation level, interview requirements, and feedback from the initial session, additional sessions may be considered. Typically, the engagement is not expected to exceed 2 to 3 sessions per student. Students with an upcoming interview may benefit from a focused session followed by an additional practice session, if required.
Target Students: Students and professionals preparing for job interviews, including campus placements, off-campus recruitment, lateral hiring, and other employment opportunities. The service is also suitable for candidates preparing for college admission interviews, particularly for BBA, MBA, and other undergraduate or postgraduate programmes. Both freshers and candidates with prior work experience can benefit from the sessions.
Student Requirements: The counselling team should ask students about their target colleges or employers, courses or job roles, interview dates, and specific areas where they need assistance. If available, students should share their interview call letter, admission requirements, job description, resume, or any known interview format before the session. This will help tailor the preparation to their immediate requirements.
Session Approach: The session will focus on practical interview preparation, including personal introductions, common interview questions, strengths and weaknesses, academic interests, career goals, and relevant professional experience. Depending on the student's requirements, preparation may also cover communication skills, body language, structured responses, situational questions, and handling unexpected or challenging questions. The student will participate in a mock interview and receive constructive feedback, highlighting strengths, areas for improvement, and specific actions to improve performance before the actual interview.
Counselling Guidelines: Please establish the student's immediate objectives and interview timeline before scheduling. Communicate that the service is personalised and practice-oriented, rather than a regular course or a guarantee of selection. Where possible, prioritise students with a specific upcoming interview, as they are likely to benefit most from focused preparation. Any additional sessions can be discussed based on the student's needs and progress after the initial session.
