In this session the learner gets to know the 44 sounds of English - The long and short vowel sounds, the dipthongs, the voiced and voiceless consonant sounds, the nasal consonants, the glide consonants, etc. e.g.
1) Long and short vowel sounds - Bail and bell (Here the word "bail" has a long eh sound whereas the word "bell" has a short eh sound.)
2) Voiceless consonant sound "t" - when pronouncing this voiceless consonant, one needs to stick the tip of the tongue on the edge of the hard palate and with a puff of air, release the pressure on the hard palate, the sound will then mix with the vowel that will follow - e.g. - Time - ˈtaɪm
The learner also gets to learn how to first understand syllable stress and use it appropriately in the flow of the sentences e.g.
1) Photographer - pho-TAW-gruh-fer (Here, the second syllable is stressed to get the correct pronunciation)
2) Photograph - PHO-toh-graf (Here the first syllable is stressed)
In the overall pronunciation course the learner gets to receive indepth knowledge of how to have correct pronunication by naturally speaking in the neutral accent and understand different accents from around the world
